He observed enormous snakes swimming and sprawling as he peered down the dreadful snake pit (which was huge); it was obvious that these gigantic animals were guarding whatever was dwelling and residing at the base of the hole. Kevin worked up the guts, at the bare minimum, to venture into the edge of the pit in order to solve this and have the answers that he is desperately trying to own. His strategy wasn’t the best since it would mean being up close and personal with those creatures.

He heard sounds coming from the trees as he was getting ready to climb his way up to get away from the edge of the pit. Kevin believed he was imagining things and the voices were nothing more than his imagination playing games with him. He then carried out his plan to get off the pit. He experienced sudden vertigo the minute he attempted the move that would have placed him on safer ground as if something or someone did not want him to get off the pit. He went entirely unconscious.
