Among the two capsules that were found at the Washington Monument site, it is claimed by the experts at the Archaeology department that both the cornerstones were intended to serve different purposes. The purpose that the original 1815 was expected to serve is to throw a light on the country’s independence and the inaugural president, G. Washington. The other one that was put in 1915 focused more on the wars that the country fought. The 1915-capsule was also buried in the presence of a huge gathering.
