Not a Man of Malice
Christopher was clear about his intentions right off the bad: survival, rather than greed. He was never interested in stealing “big ticket” items from people, and was mainly focused on scraps here and there to help him to keep surviving over the years. His independence meant he didn’t need any help, and he sure didn’t want any. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and he hoped he could go undetected for all his life, which he almost got away with had it not been for Sergeant Hughes.

Paying Close Attention
Although Christopher had experience installing alarms from his formal employment back in the real world, he never took a chance when it came to robbing a house. He made sure he took the time to observe the owners for a while, noting their patterns and routines before making his move to grab a few loose items. It’s easy to see why people could think that he was creepy, and he worried about being caught all the time.
