Settling Down Over Time

While Christopher was keen to get lost on his first few days in the woods, eventually he wanted to settle and find a spot he could call his own. This would take some time and a lot of trial and error, but he eventually found a spot that seemed fitting. Although he was adapting to life in the wilderness, he was still worried about a couple of things, including how he was going to get his hands on enough food to sustain him, as well as thinking about what he would do in the snowy wintery months.

The Search For Food

Christopher understood that without food, he wouldn’t survive very long. In the first few days, the hunger pangs were terrible, and his energy levels were dwindling. Although spanning across a massive landscape, there was little natural produce growing from the land there. His supply of edible plants were over in no time, and while some wondered why he didn’t fish or hunt, he claimed he wasn’t skilled enough to do so.
