The restoration team was quite curious to find out what was written in the vellum. The leather on which the content was written has started to gain some yellowish tint. It indicated that the paper was kept inside the figurine for quite a long time. Upon finding, the papers dated back all the way to 1777. These centuries’ old papers were written by Joaquin Minguez. He was one of the clerics who identified himself with the Cathedral of El Burgo de Osma.

After this significant discovery was made in the year 2017, the Da Vinci Restauro team leader Ramirez gave a short interview to the Daily Mail, a British newspaper. She told the media that while they were working on the Jesus Christ artifact, they found this document that dates back to the 18th century. The structure was completely hollow and the people who have kept it in have included two scrolls. There was quite a long list of contents and read along to find what was in it.
