With a Particular Theme
The glass jars that were kept inside the granite stone were in a very organized way and each jar carried its own theme. The intent of this time capsule was quite clear where the Baltimore people wanted to offer an insight of their daily lives. Among the four jars, one was dedicated only to the president G. Washington. As we discussed above, this jar contained a photograph along with one of the very first speeches that Washington delivered as a president.

A Set Of Current Affairs
Apart from the jar that was for the president’s belongings, another one carried some current affairs of that time. The paper that was in that glass jar was most probably from the Federal Gazette. There was a very immaculate detail that was in one of the newspapers. One dated July 6, 1815 had an article where it narrated the events of this stone being laid down. One of the jars carried a Bible from the year 1812.
