Physical Fitness
Formal fitness tests for U.S troops began back in 1942, as millions of soldiers were needed to take part in the war. As you can imagine, not all of them were physically ready for going out into combat. A physical development program was created to deal with this.

The program features activities geared towards improving endurance, strength and overall mobility. The school required men that were between the ages of 18 and 45 to register for the training, which was compulsory.
Bonding Time For Soldiers
When America joined forces with the Allies in 1941, all U.S citizens experienced the war across their daily lives in some way. Troops from both sides spent time connecting inside and outside of the battlefield.

Activities were there to encourage bonding between citizens from different nationalities, as well as motivating them with music, movies, books and more. The U.S army was sure to expose their soldiers to creative ways to help keep their spirits up at all times.
