3. Bicycle Crunches

Bicycle crunches work the front and side parts of the core. Lie on your back, bring your knees up, and place your hands lightly behind your head. Move one knee toward the opposite elbow while extending the other leg, then switch sides. Keep the movement controlled instead of rushing through it.

Try not to pull on your neck with your hands. Let the core do the work. If the movement feels too difficult, keep your feet closer to the floor or move more slowly. Even a small range of motion can be helpful when it is done with good control and steady breathing.
