2. Side Plank

The side plank helps work the muscles along the sides of the core. These muscles support balance and can help the body stay stable during twisting and side movements. Lie on one side with your elbow under your shoulder, then lift your hips so your body forms a straight line. Keep your neck relaxed and your chest open.

Hold for a short time, then switch sides. It is normal for one side to feel stronger than the other. If this feels too hard, keep your lower knee on the floor for support. The goal is control, not speed. A steady side plank is more useful than a long one done with poor form.
