In seven years, he became the manager of Reba and helped her a lot emotionally when she was undergoing a divorce with her ex-husband. They got married in the year 1989 in the middle of Lake Tahoe on a boat. Then they came together professionally and started their own venture named starstruck, a music management company. Narvel who also was divorced at that time had three kids. Reba became stepmother to them and also gave birth to their son named Shelby who later became a car racer. It was all going well but hard times did follow her later.
