Keeping pace with the man, Gracie pushed through thick brush as the shadows of the forest engulfed them. The deeper they went, the less confident she felt about ever retracing her steps. The paths twisted and shifted, unfamiliar at every turn, pulling them into a part of the forest she never realized was there.
