The Wheel Track
The Wheel Track replaces most light to medium-sized military vehicle’s wheels, and can morph between your standard round wheel into a triangular shape in two seconds. The Carnegie Mellon University developed Wheel Track was launched by the institution’s National Robotics Engineering Center thanks to backing from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. The pioneering wheel won the 2018 Popular Science “Best of What’s New” Award. As you can imagine, the Wheel Track allows military vehicles to navigate almost any environment.
