Dr. Martin explained that the eagle had recently become a mother and was struggling to care for her newly hatched chicks.
Like many wild animals, mother eagles sometimes face difficulties protecting and comforting their babies. According to Dr. Martin, the eagle may have seen the puppy as a source of warmth, comfort, and companionship for the young chicks. “What we are seeing is extremely rare,” Dr. Martin explained.

“The eagle appears to have formed a bond with the puppy. The puppy’s calm and gentle behavior may have made the eagle trust it around her babies.” In an incredible twist, the eagle had seemingly adopted the puppy into her family. The puppy, once used to relaxing safely in a backyard, was now living in a giant nest high above the ground. Strangely enough, it appeared completely happy there.
The neighbors watched in amazement as the puppy curled up beside the baby eagles, wagging its tail while the chicks snuggled close beside it.
