The Kitchen Carved Around The Stone
Marta’s kitchen is not large, but it is one of the most interesting parts of the home. She planned it around the natural shape of the cave instead of forcing the cave to fit a normal kitchen. The countertop follows the uneven line of the wall, and the shelves sit against rough stone that has been left exposed. Nothing looks perfectly straight, but that is exactly what makes the room feel special.

There are copper pans hanging from black hooks, dried herbs along a wooden shelf, and a small round table where Marta eats breakfast each morning. She wanted a real kitchen, not just a display corner, so there is proper storage, useful work space, and room for simple cooking. The builders hid the modern parts behind wooden panels, which keeps the room looking natural. It is practical, but it still feels like it belongs inside the mountain.
